Description
Lifesize Yoda statue as seen in Star Wars - Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back You are bidding on a phenomenal piece of work which perfectly captures the wonderful creature as designed by Stuart Freeborn's creature shop for the production of The Empire Strikes Back. This statue is fully finished and ready to display. You are bidding on the actual item shown in the photos. I've seen (and owned) many lifesize Yoda replicas over the years but none have ever come close to the incredible accuracy and attention to detail of this statue. Includes: Latex head with highly accurate paintjob and hair expertly punched into the surface of the latex. Accurate teeth are also installed in the mouth. Glass eyes - painted by the SAME artist at Cantor & Nissel who did the artwork for the original movie puppet. Latex hands - with wire armature inside to allow posing. Resin nails. Fibreglass body / armature with limited poseability to the arms. Resin feet and nails. Highly accurate inner and outer robes - patterned from an original costume and expertly weathered / torn to match the real costume. Accurate leather belt and pouch. Resin cane. Accurate necklace / "flute" accessory. The likeness that has been captured on the head is testament to the months of work that was invested into this sculpture by the talented artist here in the UK. Not even Lucasfilm's display Yoda that has toured around the world looks as good as this. It truly captures the puppets appearance from The Empire Strikes Back. The head, hands and feet were assembled and painted by a professional artist and the colour of the paints used were matched to an ORIGINAL puppet hand that was restored by the artist. Don't miss your opportunity to own this truly stunning replica of the beloved Jedi master as he first appeared to us in 1980. Please note that the backdrop and white base are not included in the auction. Good luck!
