My name is Cydney Neil and I created and operated the Rocky Point Haunted House in Utah where it was open from 1979-2007.  I was fortunate over the years to have great friends in the entertainment industry that either gave, sold or made many of the fabulous props I used in my sets.  When I made the decision to close my show and auction off all of my props, there were several items, for one reason or another, I just couldn't part with at the time. Most of them had been very personal to me. Now, given some time, I think I can finally let them go. There are some really wonderful items included in the auction that not only have a lot of sentimental value to me but many items that I guarantee will come complete with their very own entity attached! The unique collection of the late Robert Burns are irreplaceable collectors items that anyone should feel fortunate to own. This incredible and one of a kind mechanical prop was custom built for me using an original mold from the Universal Studios Creature. It was painted by a very talented painter who worked for many years at XFX for Steve Johnson. It is a beautiful sculpture with amazing details from its hands to its face and body. It is all fiberglass and totally waterproof. It was used in the Creature from the Black Lagoon set at the Rocky Point Haunted House. It was immersed in water and then came up out of the water just as the patrons were walking across the wobbly rope bridge. It comes fully equipped with all of its mechanical parts and equipment, with the exception of the compressed air tank it requires to run and works great. This would be an impressive prop in any indoor or outdoor swamp area of a haunt or even in the corner of your swimming pool to totally freak out your guests! The creature measures 56” tall x 36” wide.
